The Nelson Symphony Orchestra’s final concert for 2018 Romance Mystery will take place at the Auditorium, Nelson Centre of Musical Arts on Saturday 24 November at 7.30pm.
The highlight of the programme will be the return of young Nelson pianist Louis Lucas-Perry performing Rachmaninoff’s dazzling concerto Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini on the Steinway Grand.
Louis has recently graduated Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance from the Victoria University of Wellington.
Popular classical music works in the programme include Schubert’s best loved symphony The Unfinished, Tschaikovsky’s March Slav and Tales from Vienna Woods by Johann Strauss.
Romance Mystery will be conducted by the NSO’s Director of Music, Nigel Weeks.
